Support for VKR Group employees

The Employee Foundation was established in 1991 to provide financial assistance to employees in the VKR Group, their families and local communities. All donations and financial grants are given based on a ‘most in need – highest support’ criteria. 


In times of distress
Support for employees facing crises, for example in cases of a sudden death in the family, or illness with serious consequences for the employee or their immediate family.
Senior life
Annual grants for initiatives that benefit current and former senior employees, early retirees and retired employees.
Educational grants
Financial support to help employees’ children complete their education or gain qualifications.
Health initiatives
Financial assistance for proactive health initiatives that benefit employees.
Awards
The Employee Foundation sponsors the annual Villum Kann Rasmussen Award and the Lars Kann Rasmussen Safety Award, which are given to employees for outstanding achievements.
Community projects

Financial support for social and cultural activities in communities where VKR Group companies operate.

Volunteering

Through the Live a dream programme, employees can spend a week of their holiday doing volunteer work to help others.

Making an impact on individuals and communities  

Since its establishment in 1991, the Employee Foundation of the VKR Group has provided support to employees and their families across various circumstances. It has contributed to local community initiatives and recognised outstanding employees through the prestigious Villum Kann Rasmussen Award.

Over the years, it has provided support through 9,000 grants, benefiting over 6,500 employees, and has contributed to more than 2,500 projects near VKR Group companies.

Although the foundation has supported many purposes since it came into existence, it is not possible to grant all applications. The foundation prioritises donations based on the "most in need - highest support" principle.

"Our lives changed completely"
Adam, from Dovista in Poland had been trying to start a family for many years. With the help of fertility treatment paid for by the Employee Foundation, he and his partner are now parents to a son.
COMMUNITY PROJECTS
Lusk United
Close to Dublin in Ireland, Lusk United is a football club with over 240 female players and 17 female coaches. The Employee Foundation supported the U13 girls’ teams.
